South London is a large area of England's capital and is comprised of the London Borough's of Southwark, Greenwich, Bexley, Sutton, Kingston, Lewisham, Croydon, Bromley, Lambeth, Richmond, Merton and Wandsworth. South London is home to a number of major attractions including the world famous London Eye, London Aquarium, HMS Belfast and the London Dungeon.

The Borough of Southwark is one of the oldest parts of London and is the home of the Greater London Authority and the City Hall offices. Southwark has benefited from extensive regeneration and has become a major business centre for the area. Southwark is also popular as a residential area and is home to numerous galleries, shops, bars and restaurants. Other visitor attractions include Southwark Cathedral and Borough Market.

London Waterloo Station is situated in the London Borough of Lambeth, and the district of Waterloo is connected to the Strand area by Waterloo Bridge, which is famous for is impressive views of the South Bank, Westminster, the City of London and Canary Wharf.

The London Borough of Lambeth forms part of Inner London and is home to a number of landmarks including the Royal Festival Hall, Hayward Gallery, the Oxo Tower and the Florence Nightingale Museum. Districts in the area include Balham, Clapham, Stockwell, Brixton, Vauxhall and Crystal Palace.

The London Borough of Greenwich is renowned for giving its name to the Greenwich Meridian as well as Greenwich Meantime. The Royal Observatory is located in Greenwich as well as the National Maritime Museum and Greenwich Park. The area is well known for its maritime history and is the home of the Cutty Sark.

Bexley is bounded by the London Borough of Bromley and the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. While Bexley has no London underground stations it is well served by the London Overground, London Tramlink and the Docklands Light Railway. A proposed extension from the Crossrail service would encompass Abbey Wood.

The London Borough of Sutton forms part of the Outer London Area and is London's southernmost borough. Sutton is situated east of Kingston Upon Thames, west of Croydon and south of Merton. The Secombe and Charles Cryer Theatres are located in Sutton. Kingston upon Thames is the oldest of the three Royal Boroughs.

The London Borough of Richmond is the only borough in London that is located both south and north of the River Thames. East Sheen, Mortlake, Barnes, Twickenham, Ham, Teddington, Hampton and Kew are all districts of the London Borough of Richmond.

Croydon is the largest borough of London by population and is part of Outer London. Croydon is a major business centre and the largest employment sectors are enterprise and the retail industry. Croydon office space is very popular, and the area is the largest office area outside of central London.

The London Borough of Wandsworth is part of Inner London and is located in the southwest. Districts in the area include Putney, Battersea Park, Earlsfield, Wandsworth Road, Tooting and Putney Bridge.
